What is the difference between the Authentic and the Classic Slip-On?

Laces. The Authentic (Vans' first shoe, 1966) is a low-top canvas lace-up with a slim profile. The Classic Slip-On uses elastic gussets so you step in and go — it is the shoe from the checkerboard era. Sole, canvas, and overall shape are otherwise very close.

Which is more comfortable?

They feel nearly identical underfoot — both are flat, flexible canvas shoes on the same vulcanized waffle sole. The Slip-On grips the midfoot with its elastic, which some people love for convenience and others find snug over a high instep. If you have a higher instep or want to fine-tune the fit, the laced Authentic is the safer pick.

Do Vans Authentic and Slip-Ons fit the same?
