Measure both feet, then match the longer measurement to UGG's women's size chart. Use that size as your starting point. The Mini II listing uses whole US sizes, even though UGG's general chart also includes half sizes.
For a measurement check: UGG lists US 7 at 9.5 inches heel-to-toe, 7.5 at 9.7 inches, and 8 at 9.8 inches. Those are foot measurements, not measurements of the space inside the boot. If you usually wear 7.5, compare your actual foot length with the neighboring whole-size entries instead of automatically ordering 7.
Once they arrive, try both boots indoors with the socks you expect to wear. Your toes should have comfortable space and your heel should stay secure as you walk. If your foot measures between entries, compare the two nearby whole sizes for that fit.

If the lining feels close but your toes have room, that matches UGG's description of an initially snug Classic. If getting your foot through the opening is the difficult part, use the rear pull tab and check the fit after your foot is fully inside. The opening alone does not tell you which size to buy.
For thicker socks, make the try-on with those socks. Let toe space, pressure across the top of your foot and heel fit decide the size.
