UGG Tasman vs Tazz: Which Slipper Is Right for You?
Two of UGG's most-loved slippers look almost identical at a glance — but the Tasman and Tazz are built for different moods. Here's an honest breakdown from our team, an authorized UGG retailer since 2003.
What's the difference between the UGG Tasman and Tazz?
The Tasman is UGG's classic flat slipper-shoe: a soft suede upper, cozy UGGplush lining, and the signature braided collar on a low, flexible sole. The Tazz is that same Tasman lifted onto a chunky ~1.3″ platform — same warmth and braided trim, just taller and more of-the-moment.
Do the Tasman and Tazz fit the same?
Yes — both run true to size and share the same footbed. UGG slippers feel snug for the first few wears, then the sheepskin packs out slightly and molds to your foot. They come in whole sizes only, so if you're between sizes, order down. See our UGG sizing notes or call us for a quick fit check.
Which one is more popular?
The Tazz has been the viral favorite thanks to its platform, while the Tasman stays the timeless everyday classic. Both are among our best-selling UGG styles and come in core neutrals (Chestnut, Black, Sand) plus seasonal colors.
Can you wear them outside?
Both have genuine treaded outsoles made for quick trips out — coffee runs, the mailbox, school drop-off. The Tazz's thicker platform adds a little durability and height. Neither is built for hiking or wet, rough terrain.
Tasman vs Tazz at a glance
- Tasman — low profile, classic, lightweight, easiest to slip on.
- Tazz — chunky platform, taller, trend-forward look.
- Both — suede upper, braided collar, plush lining, true to size, whole sizes only.
How do I know my UGGs are real?
UGG is one of the most-counterfeited brands online, so the simplest protection is to buy from an authorized UGG retailer — Feet Heart has been one since 2003. On a genuine Tasman or Tazz, the sheepskin springs back when you press it (fakes feel flat and foamy), the braided collar is even and tight, the sole carries the embossed UGG sunburst logo, and the heel-label font is crisp and centered. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is.
