Compare width when the length looks right but the sides feel wrong. A foot pressing onto the side rim needs more space; a foot sliding sideways in an otherwise well-adjusted sandal may need a narrower fit. Check the listing's stated width. A missing width selector does not mean both widths are available.

Stand in both shoes with your heels settled in the heel cups. Your toes and the sides of your feet should sit inside the raised edge. Adjust the straps, walk indoors and check that the shoe stays with your foot without pressure across the top.
