UGG Tazz Sizing: How to Pick Your Size in the Platform Slipper

The UGG Tazz runs true to size for most people, so the size you wear in regular shoes is almost always the right place to start. The Tazz uses the same plush UGGplush footbed as the classic Tasman, so the in-shoe fit feels familiar; the only real difference is the chunky platform underneath. Below we walk through the questions our fit team in Culver City and Arcadia hears most about the Tazz so you can order once and get it right.

Does the UGG Tazz run true to size?

Yes, the Tazz runs true to size for the large majority of feet. Order your normal size and you'll usually get the snug-but-not-tight, slipper-like fit UGG designs the style for. Because the upper, the suede collar, and the wool-blend lining are the same construction as the Tasman, anyone who already owns a Tasman can simply match that size. If you're new to UGG slippers entirely, go with your standard US shoe size as your baseline and read the "between sizes" question below before you decide.

Do UGG Tazz come in half sizes?

No, the Tazz is made in whole sizes only, which is the single most important thing to know before you order. UGG doesn't produce a half size in this style, so if you normally wear a half size you'll have to round to a whole one. That's where most of the sizing questions come from, and our short answer is below.

Should I size up or down if I'm between sizes?

Size down to the nearest whole size if you're between sizes. The Tazz is meant to sit close to the foot like a true slipper, and the sheepskin-blend lining compresses and molds to your foot with wear, so a snug fit out of the box is normal and correct. If you wear a 7.5, order the 7; an 8 will feel roomy once the lining packs down and can let your heel slide. The one exception is very wide feet or high insteps, where some people prefer the extra room of sizing up, and that's a great moment to call us so we can talk through your foot shape.

Why does my heel slip in the Tazz at first?

A little heel slip when the Tazz is brand new is normal and almost always settles on its own. The dense wool-and-sheepskin lining starts out firm and full, then packs out and conforms to your heel over the first week or two of wear, which tightens the fit and quiets the slip. This is also exactly why we steer between-sizers down rather than up: a touch of snugness at the start becomes a perfect fit once the footbed breaks in. If the slip is dramatic from day one, that's a sign the size is genuinely too big rather than just needing break-in.

How is the Tazz different from the Tasman for sizing?

For your foot, the Tazz and Tasman fit the same; the difference is entirely underfoot. The Tazz adds a roughly 1.3-inch platform sole, so it sits taller and feels a bit more substantial to walk in, but the footbed length and width that determine your size are identical to the Tasman. That means you do not change your size when you switch between the two. If you're still deciding which one is right for you, our Tasman vs. Tazz comparison breaks down the platform, the look, and how each wears day to day.

Are the Tazz good for wide feet?

The Tazz fits a medium width comfortably, and many wider feet do fine in their true size because the soft lining gives a little. Since the style only comes in whole sizes, anyone with a genuinely wide foot or a high instep is the main group we'd point toward sizing up rather than down. If you're unsure where your foot lands, the fastest path is a quick call or a visit to our Feet World stores in Culver City or Arcadia (Westfield Santa Anita), where you can try the platform on and feel the break-in fit in person before you commit.
