UGG Size Chart and Fit Guide by Style

UGG says its shoes generally fit true to size, but the right choice depends on the style, your instep and the socks you wear. There is no single size-up or size-down rule for half sizes. Start with UGG's chart, then check the model-specific guidance below.

For example, UGG describes Classics as roomier casual boots that can feel snug in the lining at first. Its original Tasman page gives a choice between a snug and relaxed fit, but UGG's Tasman II pages do not repeat that advice.

Tazz II Whole sizes only, with a 1.75-inch platform and a 10mm sheepskin lining and insole. Tazz sizing
Classic Mini II UGG says Classics may feel snug initially; sheepskin gradually adapts with wear. Classic Mini sizing
Classic Ultra Mini It may feel slightly snug at first while the sheepskin adapts. UGG describes its lower 3.5-inch shaft as easy on and off. Mini vs Ultra Mini
Classic Short II Like the other Classics, it may feel slightly snug at first while the sheepskin adapts. Classic boot heights
Neumel UGG's general sizing article names Neumel as generally true to size and notes that laces adjust the fit. Neumel sizing
Scuffette II Whole sizes only. A house slipper fully lined in 17mm sheepskin; UGG says a smaller size can fit slippers better on narrow feet or low insteps. UGG slipper guide
Lowmel UGG's general sizing article names Lowmel as generally true to size, with adjustment from lacing. Women's Lowmel · Men's Lowmel
Kids' Tasman II Use the children's chart. UGG labels larger kids' sizes 13K to 6K; our Tasman II listing shows these as plain numbers (13, 1, 2 through 6) and keeps the T on toddler sizes. Kids' Tasman sizing

Measure first, then use UGG's chart

UGG recommends measuring while standing, in the afternoon, and measuring both feet. On paper, mark the heel and longest toe, measure the distance and use the larger heel-to-toe measurement. Use UGG's size charts below, then check the sizes offered for the style you want.

See UGG Sizing Information. K and T are UGG's own children's size labels. On our Kids' Tasman II listing, toddler sizes keep the T and UGG's 13K to 6K sizes appear as plain numbers. Choose the size system shown for your product; do not assume that the same number means the same fit in adult and children's footwear.

Between sizes: consider socks and fit preference

UGG's sizing article advises trying both sizes when your measurement falls between them. It says thicker socks can call for more room in some Classic and Tasman styles, while some slippers and clogs may suit a smaller size on narrow feet or low insteps. Those are conditional suggestions, not a rule for the entire brand.

For the original Tasman, UGG's product page says people between sizes can choose down for a snug fit or up for a relaxed fit. Do not automatically apply that instruction to Tasman II. Half sizes are offered in select UGG styles; check the exact product page.

What changes as the lining settles?

UGG says shearling-lined suede styles can feel snug at first, then soften as the lining compresses. Leather- or textile-lined styles retain their structure more consistently. UGG says the lining typically softens after a few wears but gives no set break-in time, so choose the length from the chart rather than counting on stretch.

Frequently asked questions

Do UGGs run small or big?

UGG says its shoes generally fit true to size, with some styles designed for a roomier fit. Check the specific style and its chart rather than choosing one size rule for all UGG shoes.

Should I size up or down if I wear a half size?

UGG gives no single direction for all styles. Measure both feet and use the longer heel-to-toe measurement with UGG's chart. For styles offered in whole sizes, UGG suggests starting with the whole size you usually lean toward; if your measurement falls between sizes, try both with the socks you plan to wear.

Does the original Tasman sizing advice apply to Tasman II?

No single Tasman fit rule covers both versions. UGG gives snug-fit and relaxed-fit choices on the original Tasman page. Its Tasman II pages do not repeat that advice, so size Tasman II from UGG's chart. UGG's sizing article adds that some Tasman styles may need more room with thicker socks.

Will snug UGG lining soften?

Yes, UGG says shearling lining can soften and compress with wear. Choose your size from the chart rather than counting on the lining to stretch.

Can I use an adult UGG size for a child?

No. Use the children's chart and the size system shown for the product. UGG publishes separate adult and children's tables; the same number is not a universal size across them.
