What is the Frye Melissa Button?

The Melissa Button is the cleaner, more structured tall riding boot — smooth shaft, signature button at the top, almond toe. Where the Veronica slouches, the Melissa stands tall and polished. It is the classic equestrian-style boot that works with everything.

What is the Frye Engineer boot?

The Engineer is the heritage moto boot — square toe, harness straps, no laces, Goodyear-welted construction. It is heavier and stiffer than the fashion boots, breaks in over time, and lasts for decades with basic care.

How do Frye boots fit?

Frye's vintage leathers start firm and mold to your foot and calf with wear — expect a genuine break-in period, especially on the Engineer. Fit varies by style and by your calf shape (tall shafts have to fit two places, not one), so we recommend calling us with your usual size before ordering rather than guessing.
