The Dr. Martens Women's 1461 Quad Boot is the platform version of Dr. Martens' iconic 1461 3-eye shoe. Goodyear-welted construction with the signature yellow stitching, smooth leather upper, and a chunky Quad sole that adds about 35mm of height. The Quad sole has a deeper tread pattern than the standard 1461 — better grip on wet pavement.
Fit: Dr. Martens run a half size large. Most customers size down half. Order true to size if you plan to wear thick socks or break them in slowly.

The Quad sole has a deeper tread pattern than the standard 1461 — better grip on wet pavement.
Fit notes: Dr. Martens runs a half size large. Most customers size down half — order a U.S. 7 if you usually wear 7.5. The 1461 family is closed-lace with three eyelets, so getting in and out is easier than the 1460 8-eye boot. Break-in is 1–2 weeks; the leather softens and forms to your foot. Heel slip in the first few wears is normal and disappears as the leather conforms.
