The Dr. Martens 1460 is the original 8-eye boot that started the brand — first manufactured in Wollaston, England on April 1, 1960 (hence "1460"). Goodyear-welted construction with the iconic yellow stitching, AirWair air-cushioned sole, and durable smooth leather upper. The 1460 breaks in over the first 2–4 weeks and lasts for years with basic care (a leather conditioner every season).
Fit: Dr. Martens run a half size large. Most customers size down half. Order true to size if you plan to wear thick socks or break them in slowly.

Fit notes: Dr. Martens runs a half size large. Most customers size down half — order a U.S. 9 if you usually wear 9.5. If you plan to wear thick wool socks or want a slow break-in with thicker insoles, order your usual size. The leather softens and forms to your foot over the break-in period. Heel slip in the first few wears is normal and disappears as the leather conforms.
