The Birkenstock Unisex Franca Soft Footbed Nubuck Sandal in Sandcastle is the brand's elegant ankle-strap silhouette — multi-strap upper in a soft warm sandcastle-toned nubuck, with an ankle-strap closure that gives a more secure fit than open-back sandals. Built on Birkenstock's Soft Footbed (a gentler version of the cork-and-latex footbed) for sensitive feet or easier break-in.
Fit: EU sizing. The chart groups half sizes into one EU size. If you fall between sizes, Birkenstock recommends the larger size. See the size guide for the EU/US conversion.

Fit notes: Birkenstock uses European sizing. EU 36 fits like a U.S. women's 5–5.5; EU 40 like a U.S. men's 7–7.5. The Soft Footbed gives a more cushioned feel than the regular footbed. The ankle strap and instep strap are both adjustable.
