The Dr. Martens Women's 1490 Virginia Boot is a 10-eyelet mid-shaft boot in the brand's softer Virginia leather. Same Goodyear-welted construction and AirWair air-cushioned sole as the iconic 1460, but with a taller 10-eye shaft that hits at the mid-calf. The Virginia leather is more supple than the standard 1460 smooth leather — break-in is faster (1–2 weeks).
Fit: Dr. Martens run a half size large. Most customers size down half. Order true to size if you plan to wear thick socks or break them in slowly.

Fit notes: Dr. Martens runs a half size large. Most customers size down half. The Virginia leather softens noticeably in the first week of wear. Heel slip in early wears is normal.
