The Dr. Martens 8053 Quad Platform is the platform version of the brand's 5-eye Quad Lace-Up Shoe. Lower-cut than the 1460 boot, with the same Goodyear-welted construction, yellow stitching, and chunky Quad sole that adds about 35mm of height. Easier on/off than the 1460 — five eyelets instead of eight — while keeping the iconic Dr. Martens silhouette.
Fit: Whole UK sizes. Dr. Martens says most styles run true to size; if you fall between sizes, the brand recommends the larger size with an insole to take up the half.

Break-in is 1–2 weeks; heel slip in the first few wears is normal as the leather softens. The 8053 is unisex sized — use UK or U.S. men's sizing depending on the variant.
